LOST&FOUND | Thursday, June 4th, 7:00pm – 8:00pm | Zoom and Facebook Live | 11 dancers from multiple cities and 5 musicians come together for an interactive dance experience.
The InterUrban ArtHouse, in partnership with the Tristian Griffin Dance Company and the Carlsen Center at JCCC presents LOST&FOUND, a five part interactive dance film that invites you to witness the process of sudden solitude and, through these performances, contemplate how we each live our own versions of the world’s current shared experience.
We will Premiere the first video Me, I Love You, Thursday, June 4th, at 7pm, on our FB page at https://www.facebook.com/InterUrbanArtHouse/ . A talkback will immediately follow with choreographer Tristian Griffin, featured musician Marleena Willingham, and dancers Kaitlyn Gardner and Tori Knox. The rest of the films will be premiered by a different local arts organization on their and our FB pages, for the next week, June 6th, 8th, 11th, and 14th, also at 7pm and followed by a talkback with the musician and dancers involved.
As the viewer, you will have the option to explore the 5 different versions during the watch party, and compare your perspectives. Once you click on your choice you will experience the dance film paired with one of 5 different soundtracks by 5 different musicians. One version of the film may give you a sense calmness, while another version might energize you and make you want to dance yourself. In other words, you see the "same" experience differently according to what you hear. After the film, simply close the watch party to remain on our FB page, and the talkback will begin.
