VIRTUAL - July Opening Reception - Ada Koch, "Hope Forward"

Presented by Bunker Center for the Arts at Bunker Center for the Arts

Join us online, First Friday at the Bunker Center for the Arts, for our Facebook Live opening of Ada Koch’s exhibition, Hope Forward. More info  Ada will be treating us to a live walk-through of new and recent work as she delivers her artist talk as well as a few surprises.   Ada’s exhibition at the Bunker coincides with her current contribution to the Art in the Loop program with her KC Streetcar Vehicle Wrap. She has transformed a KC Streetcar into a field of red poppies in a work titled Hope & Gratitude.   Our exhibition of her work encompasses 4 galleries for the month of July and can be viewed online and by appointment.   Ada has been a visual artist/activist/teacher in KC for 28 years, teaching at the Nelson-Atkins Museum, serving on local boards to promote the local art scene, and working with newspapers, magazines and radio stations to promote her work against violence. Her art is worldwide in notable collections including the Nelson-Atkins Museum, the Stowers Institute, JD Reece Company, and Overland Park City Hall to name a few.   https://www.facebook.com/events/572704606718943/   www.adakoch.com
