Hoedown 2 Hope is our yearly fundraising opportunity here at A Turning Point. We have a new look that will be a virtual event with interactive opportunities for our guests. A Turning Point is a 501c-3 organization committed to empowering people on their journey to self-sufficiency to become productive, independent members of the Kansas City community. We accomplish this goal via our unique programs at our facility and by working collaboratively with other agencies. Our facility allows our clients a safe place to access some of the basic necessities of life in one convenient location. All our services are offered free of charge.
Among our events scheduled for the evening is a silent auction for services and/or creations by Kansas City local talent. A Turning Point is accepting donations for service, local made artwork/crafts, experience or a class aligning with our theme. Your donation assists over 600 households monthly receive food, allows 300 families monthly access to clothes, shoes, coats, and more, supports adult students' journeys in earning their high school diplomas through our Academy (over 200 students enrolled), provides hot meals for 150+ individuals, and gives many other resources to the thousands of people we serve.
