The Kansas City Chamber Orchestra (KCCO) presents “Music in the Garden,” a free outdoor concert, at 6 p.m. October 11 at the John Wornall House Museum. Refreshments from the Waffler and Touring Taps will be available beginning at 5 p.m.
Step back time in time and enjoy an old-fashioned evening of fun when The Kansas City Chamber Orchestra (KCCO) presents “Music in the Garden,” a free outdoor concert, at 6 p.m. October 11th at the John Wornall House Museum, 61145 Wornall Road. The family-friendly event will offer a sampling of classical favorites performed by KCCO’s local professional musicians with refreshments available for purchase prior to the performance beginning at 5 p.m. Concert goers are encouraged to come early with chairs, blankets and an appetite - there will be room to social distance and spread out in the beautiful garden and lawn of the Wornall House. The program will include a beautiful selection of lively string orchestra tunes from Mozart to Grieg and more. Join the KCCO musicians and guest conductor Carolyn Watson as they bring live music back to Kansas City!

The Kansas City Chamber Orchestra, now in its 34nd season, is the region’s only professional resident chamber orchestra. Founded by music director and conductor Bruce Sorrell, the orchestra features talented professional musicians who live and work in the metropolitan area including members of the Kansas City Symphony, music faculties of the University of Kansas and the Conservatory at University of Missouri – Kansas City, and freelance professionals.
