The William Baker Festival Singers & Friends have presented Candlelight, Carols & Cathedral annually since 1998. For 2020 the choir is joined by Kansas City Bronze and Organist John Schaefer for a celebration of the beauty and wonder of Christmas featuring readings, processions, favorite carols, timeless classics, rousing spirituals, and works of Kansas City composers Ed Frazier Davis and Sean Sweeden.
Because of Covid concerns in the city, Candlelight, Carols & Cathedral will be performed live and in-person in the nave of the beautiful Holy Angels Catholic Church, 15440 Leavenworth Road in Basehor, Kansas. Seating will be limited, masks are required for audience and performers, and social distancing will be enforced. The Choral Foundation and the Festival Singers are certified ArtSafe by the Missouri Arts Council.
