Chaeyoung Park, piano Virtual Piano Recital | Dec. 11, 2020 at 7 p.m. | Carlsen Center Virtual Recital | Chaeyoung Park, winner of the 2019 Hilton Head International Piano Competition, performs Bach, Beethoven and Brahms.
An alumna of KU School of Music who studied under Jack Winerock at the tender age of 11 and now studying at Julliard, Park has taken the world by storm, receiving top honors at many national and international piano competitions. In 2016, she helped the Carlsen Center choose its new Steinway piano straight from the floor of the factory in New York City! A rare piano recital will be available for viewing Friday, Dec. 11. The program will include Bach: Four Duets (BWV 802-805), Beethoven: Sonata No. 29 in B-flat Major, Op. 106, “Hammerklavier” - first and second movements, Brahms: Sonata No. 3 in F minor, Op. 5 and a special holiday gift of Tchaikovsky: Nutcracker Suite- Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and Trepak (Russian Dance).
