The Harriman-Jewell Series will present guitarist Jiji in a free livestream Discovery Concert performed at Kansas City’s 1900 Building. (The concert will not have an in-person audience.) The Kansas City Guitar Society is a community partner for this livestream concert.
The free livestream concert will begin at 7:00 PM; a conversation with Jiji will immediately follow the concert.
Jiji (Jiyeon Kim) is an adventurous artist on both acoustic and electric guitar, playing an extensive range of music from traditional and contemporary classical music to improvisation.
The planned program for Jiji's free livestream concert will include works for acoustic guitar by an array of composers, and most are living artists from several countries. Jiji will play two of her own compositions on electric guitar.
