VIRTUAL - Open Minds Book Discussion: Sing, Unburied, Sing

Jason Arthur, Ph.D., Rockhurst University associate professor of English, will lead a live book discussion of Jesmyn Ward's novel, Sing, Unburied, Sing (2017). Ward's novel, which won the 2017 National Book Award for fiction, is a multigenerational family saga about addiction, mass incarceration, and the ghosts of racist violence in Amercia. This online event is presented in partnership with Rockhurst University Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Space is limited for the FREE live discussion and you must register in advance to participate. Join and follow the Open Minds Facebook page after the live event to further explore topics related to the book and to post and share your ideas. Rockhurst English department faculty will post or share book discussion questions inspired from the live discussion following the live event. A limited supply of Sing, Unburied, Sing is available FREE at Wise Blood Books (300 Westport Road) Thursdays-Sundays 12-5 to registered participants. Books are first come, first served and will NOT be reserved or mailed
