VIRTUAL - "And the darkness has not over come it" Premiere

Presented by Owen/Cox Dance Group and Kansas City Chorale at Online/Virtual Space

Owen/Cox Dance Group continues to deliver its mission of creating new music and dance collaborations despite challenges presented during the COVID-19 pandemic. Owen/Cox Dance Group is collaborating with the Kansas City Chorale to create a new dance work to the Kansas City Chorale’s recording of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s "All Night Vigil." The dance piece features the first and fifth movements of Rachmaninoff’s acclaimed work—“Come, Let Us Worship” and “Now let depart”. The work was filmed onstage at the Carlsen Center’s Yardley Hall following social distancing guidelines. This auspicious and spiritual project will premiere on Easter Sunday as a celebratory unveiling.
