A 2014 Blues Music Award winner on her own, Danielle Nicole has also performed with Trampled Under Foot, which was inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame this spring.
After several acclaimed self-released albums and years of nonstop road work, Trampled Under Foot released Badlandson July 9, 2013. Badlands revealed a musical sophistication well beyond the band’s years, and it debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Blues Chart. Trampled Under Foot performed live throughout the United States and Europe in support of the album.
As Trampled Under Foot wound down after 13 years, Danielle formed her own band. In September 2015 she released a New Orleans-flavored blues and soul-based album, Wolf Den, featuring GRAMMY®-winning producer-guitarist Anders Osborne, Galactic’s co-founding drummer Stanton Moore and her regular keyboardist Mike “Shinetop Jr.” Sedovic.
The Danielle Nicole Band is currently on a tour of the U.S. Earlier this year, Danielle and her brothers reunited as Trampled Under Food to play at their induction ceremony into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame.
