VIRTUAL - Livestream Discovery Concert featuring pianist Zhu Wang

Presented by Harriman-Jewell Series at 1900 Building

The Harriman-Jewell Series will present pianist Zhu Wang in a free livestream Discovery Concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at Kansas City’s 1900 Building. The concert will not have an in-person audience. Pianist Zhu Wang was awarded the 2020 Harriman-Jewell Series prize as well as First Prize in the 2020 Young Concert Artists International Auditions last November.  Praised for his “technical mastery and deep sense of lyricism” by The Durango Herald, Zhu Wang (pronounced joo wahng) has performed all over the world including China, Italy, Poland, Japan, and across the United States. An active chamber musician and champion of new music, Zhu Wang performed the world premiere of American composer Timo Andres’ Moving Études on his national tour. Zhu Wang will play the Andres work on his upcoming livestream concert in Kansas City.
