Kansas City Bronze Spring Concert, Sunday, April 18, 4:00 PM, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Lee’s Summit, MO. One-hour public performance of thrilling concert pieces and hymn arrangements.
Kansas City Bronze is a four-octave community handbell ensemble of competitively auditioned ringers. The elite ensemble culminates its second full season with a performance of concert pieces by American women composers, including Karen Buckwalter and Sandra Eithun, along with arrangements for organ trumpet and bells of favorite hymns, Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken, For the Beauty of the Earth, and Jesus, Love of My Soul.
Kansas City Bronze will be led by Music Director William Baker, Associate Music Director Gabe Combs, and Student Intern Megan Moore. The bells will be joined by guest artists, including Atlanta-based organist Matthew Alan Edwards, flutist Janice Lee, and trumpeter Nathan Ponnuru. The one-hour program is a public, in-person concert. Face masks will be required for performers and audience members.
