The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and Bank of America unveil a one-of-a-kind video vignette showcasing of a beloved masterpiece, Saint John the Baptist in the Wilderness by Michelangelo Caravaggio.
In the seven minute video showcasing this work, Julián Zugazagoitia, Museum Director, offers rare and expert insight into the masterpiece, one of only a few original works by Michelangelo Caravaggio in American collections. The video is part of a new digital initiative from Bank of America called Masterpiece Moment. Each Monday, BofA will release a vignette featuring an important work of art from one of 25 of its museum partners, offering a pathway for communities to experience museums during the pandemic.
