KC Clay Guild Artist in Residence Exit Show | July 2 at 5pm-9pm | The Ekru Project | Ceramic art by Elina Esther Jurado and Kedrick McKenzie
The Ekru Project (517 E. 18th St. Kansas City, MO 64108) will host the KC Clay Guild Artist in Residence Exit Show. This exhibition is the culmination of an intensive 2 year residency by Elina Esther Jurado and Kedrick McKenzie at KC Clay Guild. Elina Esther Jurado's studio practice focuses on wheel thrown earthenware pots with surface decoration inspired by nature and textile patterns. Kedrick McKenzie's ceramic sculpture utilizes colored porcelain clay, delicate forms, and humor to investigate his place in our ever changing society.
