Takes place in the Crossroads District, outdoors on West 18th Street on June 12. This year’s show will shrug the runway for a pedestrian-focused installation based around seven portable stages. Includes live music with Calvin Arsenia.
Summer Tableau explores ideas of spirituality, cults and collective consciousness in our 21st year. This exhibition on West 18th Street nods to this year's Mardi Gras "house floats" in New Orleans. The seven designers' fashions will be featured in seven installations, designed and constructed by local architect firms and construction companies. You will move in a timed fashion between installations, along West 18th Street. For the show, locally-grown international artist Calvin Arsenia has curated live music performed by Arsenia, Nikki Glaspie (who toured with Beyonce), and other specially selected musicians. To encourage social distancing, two shows are offered this year. Each show is 60 minutes. This year we offer a "Buy One Gift One" ticket. With your purchase of a single ticket, we will donate a second ticket to one deserving person. First Showing: 7:30 pm
VIP Tickets are $100 for the first showing and include admission to the VIP Party at 6pm.
Buy One, Gift One Tickets are $75 wherein the purchaser donates a second ticket to someone the Producers choose. The show's typically been free but in this year's format we cannot offer free admission. This allows people who are struggling financially to enjoy our art. BOGO tickets are offered at first and second showing.
General Admission Tickets are $40.
Each showing is one hour. VIP tickets are only available for the First Showing. Instead of admitting 3,000 people, we are limiting ticket sales to 300 per show due to the pandemic. There were be seven tableaus instead of one runway. Attendees will move through to visit each exhibit, later entertained with live music by Calvin Arsenia and Nikki Glaspie (percussionist who toured with Beyoncé).
