LiveJazzKC is excited to announce the forming of the new LiveJazzKC Big Band, founded by saxophonist (and LiveJazzKC creator) Herschel McWilliams with musical director Rob Scheps.
Planning an inaugural performance in October 20th, 2021, the LiveJazzKC Big Band will feature many of Kansas City’s finest jazz musicians & vocalists as well as showcasing exclusively the compositions and arrangements of our own local musicians; which makes this band a unique opportunity for the listeners.
The first performance and recording will feature internationally acclaimed vocalists Angela Hagenbach and Kathleen Holeman.
