The Wires will perform at the KC Streetcar River Market West Stop near 4th & Delaware from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 pm on Thursday, Sep. 23, as part of the 2021 Art in the Loop/KC Streetcar Performance Series. The Wires duo (Laurel Parks-violin & Sascha Groschang-cello) have been composing dramatic and cinematic string music inspired by imagery in the natural world since 2009. They are the hosts of Sound Currents on 91.9 Classical KC, a program that explores music by living composers. In addition to performing and composing their album “Winter” is set to be published as a collection of sheet music by Mel Bay Publishing in Fall of 2021. The performance is free and open to the public. Check the event description for the specific streetcar stop where the performance will be held. The performance space is outdoors with room for social distancing.
