KC Clay Guild Teabowl National Juried Exhibition

KC Clay Guild presents the 12th annual Teabowl National Juried Exhibition, juried by Erica Iman. 65 ceramic teabowls made by 51 US based artists will be exhibited. The teabowls range from intricately decorated porcelain to earthy wood fired stoneware.  Selected teabowls by: Chandra Beadleston, Graham Beveridge, Hoyt Childers, Laura Chmielewski, Indigo Cristol, Bob Dixon, Jason Edmonds, Jonathan Grengs, Steven Hill, Thomas Holton, Jing Huang, Tom Jennison, Shikha Joshi, Denise Joyal, Steph Kates, Alice Klaas, Melody Knowles, Andrew Koester, Stephen Lally, Roberta Lampert, Robert LaWarre III, David Lee, Hyuk Lee, Angel Luna, Jonnie Rae Luth, Anne Maraviglia, Andrew McGarva, Bob McWilliams, Jim Mitchell, Brian Morgenlander, Michael Morris, Nikita Nenashev, Alex Olson, Eric Ordway, Chuck Pate, Layne Peters, John Reinking, Eric Rempe, Caroline Roberts, Andrew Sartorius, Heidi Schultz, Tammy Shapiro, Michael Simmons, Susan Speck, Brandon Stolicny, Thomas Stollar, Mike Stumbras, Zeynep Uner, Jacob Vinson, Jason Wang, and ChengOu Yu. Erica Iman received her BFA in Ceramics and BSE in Art from the University of Missouri Columbia in 2005 and obtained her MFA in Ceramics from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2012. Between earning her degrees she served 2 years in the U.S. Peace Corps on the Eastern Steppe of Mongolia teaching English and Gardening while exploring the Gobi desert and Altai Mountains. In 2007, she was a selected participant in the International Workshop for Ceramic Arts in Tokoname, (IWCAT) Japan program, spending the summer studying contemporary and ancient Japanese pottery and culture.

Parking Info

There is free 3-hour street parking on Baltimore Avenue north of the office, free 3-hour parking on Wyandotte St., and free 3-hour parking on Southwest Boulevard. There is also a paid parking garage just south of 17th Street on Main Street in the Barkley building.
