Plein Air at Missouri Town 1855

Presented by Fount Atelier of Fine Art at Missouri Town 1855

KC area artists and the public are invited to join us at Missouri Town 1855 to spend the day painting "en plein air"!  Artists are encouraged to explore the park and sketch/paint among the many historical structures.  Missouri Town interpreters will play the roll of mid-19th century Missouri residents providing all sorts of interesting subject matter.  Fount Atelier of Fine Art artist/instructor Cody Wheelock will give a free demonstration on plein air painting at 10:00am and the public is invited to view artists' work.   If participating as an artist this event is open to artists of all ages and ability levels.  It will be a great time to create art with others in an outdoor setting and learn a bit about Missouri history as well.  Please note that artists will need to bring their own materials. are not required to wear historical attire, and do not need to attend the event all day.
