This event recognizes the first of more public art to come to our city.  The De Soto Arts Council and the city administration recognizes the importance of public art to increase the diversity of our community culture.  The process to find a sculpture started  in March, 2021, when a Call For Artist was distributed regionally.  "Native Spirit" received the majority of votes and the artist was notified.  The sculpture was recently installed in a prominent location outside De Soto's city hall.  The community and city leaders have been invited to unveil at 4:15, September 3, 2021.
