WHAT IS AMERI’KANA?AMERI’KANA is a collaborative project between Making Movies and Art As Mentorship that explores American music, past and present, focusing on deeply-rooted BIPOC influence. By showcasing and celebrating the diversity within American music, it spotlights the contributions BIPOC communities have made to our communal story and works toward healing the inequities and racial divisions in our country.

The AMERI’KANA BLOCK PARTY is a community-focused celebration of this work and will be included as part of a new music festival that Making Movies and Art as Mentorship is launching in 2022.
