An Exhibition featuring works by Genevieve Flynn and Mike Stumbras
Modern Flux explores the evolution of the contemporary disciplines of Metallurgy and ceramic art.
Flux is a state of flowing from one constant to another, it also defines the mixture of a substance with a solid to lower its melting point. This process applies to both ceramic and silversmith art forms. An allegory can be surmised, within the last couple of years, of bringing the world away from a boiling point towards a state of balance, and art can be vehicle of change. Flynn and Stumbras’s work flows into the contemporaneous through their modern interpretation of these traditional crafts.
