The Mandolin Orchestra of Kansas City (MOOKC) is Kansas City's premiere mandolin orchestra. Founded in 2017, MOOKC performs music from diverse sources such as rock, jazz, classical and contemporary, as well as classic mandolin orchestra music from the turn of the century and original music composed specifically for the orchestra. Our instrumentation consists of every member of the mandolin family from piccolo mandolin to mandobass and guitar. City Center Live is a performing art series partnership between the Johnson County Library and Lenexa Arts Council.
