Midwest Poetics: Writing workshops + Readings + Performances – Mon, January 24, 2022 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM CST – Online event
Midwest Poetics is an opportunity for artists to make space, celebrate and connect with the many voices that make the music and performance scenes that thrive in the Midwest. We want to give the mic to Black, and Indigenous vocalists, poets, writers, musicians, and performers of color to celebrate their craft.
Midwest Poetics is a space for us all – where we will, both: workshop new material in a peer-to-peer setting in CSF’s Library. Workshops will lead up to a quarterly showcase where artists will be encouraged to share what they’ve workshopped!
With the rise in omicron cases, our workshops during the months of January and February s will be via zoom!
This year's Midwest Poetics program is honored to be in collaboration and partnership with Kansas City’s: Marcus Yates and One Mic Stand KC.
