Spinning Tree Theatre proudly presents a double-feature hour of fresh theatrical entertainment! Lin-Manuel Miranda's 15-minute musical 21 CHUMP STREET, based on a true story, receives its Kansas City premiere. Directors Michael Grayman-Parkhurst and Cynthia Hardeman, music director Pamela Baskin-Watson, a gathering of some of KC's finest pro musicians, designers, and young artists bring this story to life. Short play ICARUS FLEW, a world premiere by Ellie Freeman and Vanessa Severo, gets a full production after having workshopped at Spinning Tree's new Young Playwrights & Directors Lab in 2021. This original, devised theatre piece is a collaboration between a young artist and an established KC professional. Celebrate the generation of new work by the next generation of theatre artists!
