Scottish Chamber Orchestra with Nicola Benedetti, violin

Scottish Chamber Orchestra with Nicola Benedetti, violin

Presented by Harriman-Jewell Series at Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts

Formed in 1974, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra is one of the finest ensembles of its kind in the world today. Making a significant contribution to Scottish life beyond the concert platform, the Orchestra works in schools, universities, colleges, hospitals, care homes, places of work, and community centers through its extensive Creative Learning program. This concert will feature Scottish-Italian violinist Nicola Benedetti who is one of the most sought-after violinists of her generation. She has worked with the highest level of orchestras from around the world, including the London Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Danish National Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and of course, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Her ability to captivate audiences with her innate musicianship and spirited presence, coupled with her wide appeal as a high-profile advocate for classical music, has made her one of the most influential classical artists of today. Fun fact...Benedetti first appeared on the Harriman-Jewell Series in 2007 as a Discovery Concert artist!
