More than 50 artists from around the Midwest perform on 12 stages throughout the Crossroads Arts District from 6:00 PM-2:00 AM on Sept 9, following the MixMaster2017 Music Conference, a free musicians’ health clinic, Pop-up Booths & free Day Parties.
More than 50 artists from around the Midwest will be performing on 12 stages throughout the Crossroads Arts District for the 13th annual Crossroads Music Fest Saturday, September 9th. This year the Music Fest partners with the MixMaster2017 Business of Art Conference, one-day music conference offering independent musicians a rare opportunity to connect, learn and network within the industry, held at the Living Room beginning at 11:00 AM and includes a free musicians' health clinic, free day parties, and pop-up shops under tents in the parking lot south of Josey Records for local makers and sponsors, and including a kids’ area. The Crossroads Music Fest kicks off with a free pre-festival showcase on Friday, September 8 at Vinyl Renaissance courtesy of Cunningham Aubrey Vineyards preset.
All performance venues are within 3 blocks of each other and centered around 18th and McGee in the Crossroads Arts District, with a free Barley Bus shuttle looping between venues until midnight. Food and drink will be available at several locations with food trucks at others.
VIP packages are $75 in advance; $90 at the gate and include admission to the VIP room at Hillyard Gallery with complimentary food from Californo’s, complimentary drinks from Union Horse Distilling Company, Aubrey Vineyards and Gomer’s Midtown, and special performances at 8:00 and 10:00 PM.
General admission tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate. All tickets are available online now at CMFKC.COM and KKFI.org. Physical Tickets are available at The Hillyard Gallery, 1820 McGee and Normal Human, 1815 McGee St, Kansas City, MO 64108. Everyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and children under 12 are admitted free to the family friendly stages. Proceeds from CMF benefit KKFI 90.1 FM, a 501(c)(3) organization.
