Museum and Memorial Grounds open at 3 p.m.
The National WWI Museum and Memorial and KC RiverFest will join forces for Kansas City’s official Independence Day Celebration and the largest fireworks display in the city!
Celebrate our nation’s independence at the Stars and Stripes Picnic, in partnership with Cumulus Radio, on Saturday, July 2. Bring your friends and family to grab a bite to eat, shop with local vendors, listen to live music, and enjoy fireworks over the Memorial.
The public is welcome to begin picnicking on the south grounds of the Museum and Memorial as early as 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 2. A fireworks display will begin around 9:40 p.m. FREE to the public.
