THE DOO WOP PROJECT CHRISTMAS

THE DOO WOP PROJECT CHRISTMAS

Presented by Kansas City Symphony at Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts

Ring in the holiday season with The Doo Wop Project’s brand new ‘Holiday Pops’ concert with the Kansas City Symphony!  Featuring Broadway stars of Jersey BoysMotown: The Musical, and A Bronx Tale, this new symphony experience combines The Doo Wop Project’s celebration of one of America’s most beloved music genres with everyone’s favorite holiday hits, sung in true “Doo Wop style.”  Touring non-stop for nearly a decade, The Doo Wop Project have delighted audiences across North America tracing the evolution of Doo Wop’s origins from classic street-corner singing…to “Doo-Wop-ified” versions of today’s hits.  In this holiday concert, symphony audiences will enjoy the harmonies of holiday favorites like “Please Come Home For Christmas,” “All I Want for Christmas,” and their original, “Doo Wop Christmas” PLUS familiar Doo Wop classics by legends like The Crests, The Del Vikings, The Belmonts, Smokey Robinson, Frankie Valli and more!  The Doo Wop Project brings unparalleled authenticity of sound and vocal excellence to recreate—and in some cases entirely reimagine—the greatest holiday, pop and rock music in history.
