The award-winning William Baker Festival Singers joins with Organist John Schaefer and Allegro Con Brio of the Allegro Choirs of Kansas City under the direction of Christy Elsner to present the 25th annual Candlelight, Carols & Cathedral. The beauty and wonder of Christmas is celebrated in the candlelight beauty of one of America's most beautiful worship spaces. Beloved carols will be sung in traditional forms with the voices of youth, adults and audiences, and treasured classics will be celebrated. The program also features new works and arrangements by Festival Singers Composer in Residence, Dr. Sean Sweeden. The William Baker Festival Singers is the 2021 second place winner of both the American Prize in Choral Performance and the Ernst Bacon Award for Service to American Music. Recordings of the choir have been lauded in The American Record Guide and other national publications.
