While a student at the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance, Mehari won the 2008 National Trumpet Competition. Currently living in Paris, he maintains his KC connection as host of "The Session with Hermon Mehari" each week on KCUR 89.3. Come see this amazing musician celebrate his newest and deeply personal album, "Asmara", at the Folly Theater on Saturday, February 18, 8 PM. Mehari’s performance is part of the Folly Jazz Series, now in its 41st year.

There is a parking garage next to the theater that is not owned by the theater. Parking is generally $10 for Folly patrons, although on evenings with large, downtown Kansas City events, parking could be up to $15.
