Kansas City Ballet Second Company at Powell Gardens

Join Kansas City Ballet’s Second Company as they dance a spirited spring medley at Powell Gardens. To welcome the new season, dancers will perform “Splug” by Kansas City Ballet Company Artist Cameron Thomas, and the main duet from “too much talking” by KCB II Artist Malerie Moore. These movements explore balance, strength and coordination while exuding human emotion. The natural backdrop of Powell Gardens highlights the shapes and forms joyfully presented live by Kansas City Ballet.

Performances are 10 minutes long and will occur on the hour at 11 a.m., noon, and 1 p.m. Performances are included in general admission.

This emerging professionals’ program gives extraordinarily talented young dancers a professional company experience as a prelude to their joining a professional company. KCB’s Second Company performs throughout the region through public performances, lecture demonstrations, residencies, and workshops, enabling the community to experience live dance in a public setting.
