The Kansas City Chamber Orchestra will open its season with works by Mozart in the recently renovated Medallion Theater at Plexpod Westport Commons.
In keeping with its 2017-2018 Season theme New Horizons, the Kansas City Chamber Orchestra announced a new venue. The recently renovated Medallion Theater at Plexpod Westport Commons, will host the Thursday, October 5, 2017 performance.
Built in 1923, the theater was an assembly and performance venue for historic Westport Junior High. The theater has been brought back to its former glory by the developers of Plexpod, Kansas City's newest coworking facility in midtown. The Kansas City Chamber Orchestra is excited to host the first orchestral performance since the renovation.
The Kansas City Chamber Orchestra will open its season with works by Mozart and a piece written for the Chamber Orchestra by composer Forrest Pierce. The concert will also feature soloist Margaret Marco on Oboe d'Amore.

Individual tickets for the Thurs., Oct. 5, 7:30 p.m. performance range from $25-$35 with discounts for seniors and students.
