Seven Simultaneous Sunsets is an exhibition of paintings, sculpture, video and sound that depict a future in which buildings begin to reproduce by mining their own materials from the earth.  Errors in the duplication process produce mutations the way DNA mutations happen. Over time, these mutations will evolve into cities. Meanwhile humans begin editing their genes and replacing biological organs with super intelligent mechanical organs. Our minds will be imported into any operating system.  It is this era humans can become autonomous computers, buildings, cities, and super organisms with power and intelligence unthinkable to us now.

This is the era I am interested in depicting. Far from an answer or a solution, I'm interested in potential possibilities. I'm interested in humanity designing a future that benefits all living forms. If we can begin to envision a real future, with real benefits and real problems we will be much better equipped for a future in which humanity will not or does not deserve to be destroyed.
