The new KC Festival Opera presents their inaugural production of Verdi's Il Trovatore. This exciting production is being presented using only local singers and artists.

Il Trovatore is a harrowing story of witchcraft, murder, vengeance, and love that can never be. Two waring factions lead by the Count di Luca and Manrico are inexorably linked not only by their love for Leonora, but also by the darks deeds of gypsy Azucena. Secrets come to light and fires burn bright as this story is untangled through the powerful music of Verdi.

This cast of amazing Kansas City locals brings this story to life in a semi-staged production accompanied with piano.

Running time is approximately 2 hours with a 15 minute intermission
