KC COVID Art Recession: Who thrived, who survived, who still needs help?

KC COVID Art Recession: Who thrived, who survived, who still needs help?

Presented by GUILDit and City in Motion Dance Theater and The Black Repertory Theatre of Kansas City and Arts Council of Johnson County at Johnson County Library - Central Resource

Join us in a town hall discussion led by a panel of art leaders whose organizations and artists thrived, survived, and still need help recovering from the art recession. In 2020, KC Rising reported that of 24 industries, ‘the arts had the greatest downturn and will take the longest to recover’. Let’s help the arts recover with our support and ideas.’

Panelists that will kick-off the town hall discussion:

- JoCo Arts Council, Sarah VanLanduyt, Executive Director

- Black Rep Theater, Damron Armstrong, Founder & Executive Director

- GUILDit, Susana Bruhn, Founder & Executive Director

- City In Motion Dance, Lydia Knopp, Dancer & Board President
