Abrazos: World Folk Music

Presented by Kansas City Public Library at Kansas City Public Library - Central Library

Abrazos was formed in 2023 by Amado Espinoza and Po Sim Head (Fanny), who hail from different parts of the world. “Abrazos” means “hugs” in Spanish, reflecting the deep friendship and musical collaboration between the duo. Drawing from their diverse backgrounds – Amado’s Andean roots and Fanny’s classical piano training in Hong Kong – they blend their ideas and experiment with music genres from around the world. This has resulted in a truly unique and distinctive sound. Central Library
