Te Deum presents Sacred Banquet | Saturday, June 1st at 7:30 PM | Village Presbyterian Church. This concert explores the sacred texts of the Feast of Corpus Christi, joined by guest conductor Antanina Kalechyts.
Sacred Banquet, the final concert of Te Deum’s 16th season, is a must-attend performance that includes music that spans nearly 800 years. This performance is part of a Kansas City community celebration of the Feast of the Corpus Christi and the incredible music inspired by this holy day.
The performance will feature composers like Arvo Pärt, Messiaen, Roderick Williams, Miškini, Palestrina, and the spiritually rich repertory of 10th and 11th-century Gregorian chant. The ensemble will also perform the second world premiere of the season by composer-in-residence, Anthony Maglione.
