stART the conversation is a mental health-focused art exhibition hosted by Wyandot BHN. Our goal with stART the conversation is to provide an equitable platform for individuals to share about their mental health & recovery journey through their art.
The stART the conversation art exhibition is a mental health focused art exhibition that takes place during Mental Health Awareness Month in May. Our goal with stART the conversation is to provide an equitable platform for Wyandot BHN clients, staff and other community artists to share about their mental health & recovery journey through their art. The 2023 exhibition featured 100 pieces of artwork from nearly 60 adult and youth artists. The exhibition, in addition to providing a platform for artists, is also meant to educate about behavioral health through art, promoting mental health resources and support. It engages community audiences in meaningful mental health dialogue in a non-clinical setting, helping dispel myths and emphasizing the reality of recovery.
