Our Fires Still Burn: The Native American Experience | 57 minutes, NR, 2013

This exciting and compelling documentary invites viewers into the lives of contemporary Native American role models in the Midwest, particularly Michigan.  It dispels the myth that Indians have disappeared from the American horizon, and reveals how they continue to persist, heal from the past, confront the challenges of today, keep their culture alive, and make significant contributions to society.

Following the film, join Gaylene Crouser of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and Executive Director of the Kansas City Indian Center, and Jimmy Lee Beason II, M.S.W., of the Osage Nation for a moderated discussion.
