“MashUp,” an exhibition of drawings, paintings and collage by artist Steven Duval, will open with an artist talk at 6:30 p.m. and reception from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10 at the Greenlease Gallery on the Rockhurst University campus.
The Greenlease Gallery of Art presents "MashUp". Duval’s new work explores both the shifting cultural and mixed political landscape by “mashing” charged popular imagery. His work invites viewers to find their place within the constellation of his works.
After receiving his doctorate from Oxford Brookes University, England, he is currently teaching at the University of Buffalo. He has shown his work worldwide in the Gwangju Biennale in South Korea, the Pistoletto Foundation in Italy, and Nuit Blanche in Paris.
“MashUp” will be on display in the Greenlease Gallery through Dec. 10. The gallery is open for public viewing from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday or by appointment.
