On Sunday, Dec. 3, Musica Sacra Chorus and Orchestra will present its Christmas Concert that will feature Baroque Christmas music from Italy, Germany and France.
Francesco Durante’s Magnificat will serve as the highlight of the concert, while compositions including Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s Christmas cantata and Dietrich Buxtehude’s Das neugeborne Kindelein will accompany it. The concert will conclude with traditional carols arranged by English composer and conductor David Willcocks.
Tickets, $22 for adults, or $12 for students and senior citizens, are available through the Central Ticket Office at 816-235-6222, online at rockhurst.edu or at the door. Free parking is available in the garage at 52nd Street and Troost Avenue and in all campus lots accessed through the University’s entrance at 54th Street and Troost Avenue.
