Ring in the holidays when the Kansas City Chamber Orchestra and Musica Vocale present Benjamin Britten’s glorious retelling of the legend of Saint Nicolas at 7:30 p.m., December 5 at Old Mission Methodist Church, 5519 State Park, Fairway, Kan.
Under the direction of maestro Bruce Sorrell, the cantata for orchestra, chorus and soloists will feature Grammy award-winning tenor David Adams in lead role. The program will also feature the beloved Bach Concerto for violin and oboe and Vivaldi's vibrant Concerto for 4 violins in B minor performed by an array of soloists. A pre-concert talk will begin at 6:30 p.m
Individual tickets for the Tuesday, Dec. 5 performance range from $25 to $35; senior and student discounts are available. Patrons who become KCCO season ticket holders receive discounted tickets to St. Nichols!, Valentine Serenades concert and dinner, and New Spring Horizons.
