Park University Seniors Thesis Art Exhibit

Presented by Park University at Campanella Gallery

A trio of Park University fine art students will exhibit their work as part of their senior thesis, Monday, Dec. 4, through Friday, Dec. 29, in the University’s Campanella Gallery. Admission to the gallery, located within Norrington Center on the Parkville Campus, is free. A reception for the artists will be held Friday, Dec. 8, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Gallery.

Students featured in the exhibit are: Rachal Berry, senior fine art and graphic design major, from Rushville, Mo. (attended DeKalb [Mo.] High School); Jocelyn Frazee, senior fine art and graphic design major from Kansas City, Mo. (attended Truman High School, Independence, Mo.); and Catherine Gann, senior secondary education/fine art major from Excelsior Springs, Mo.

According to their respective artist’s statements: Berry’s love of American literature served as an inspiration for her collection of work; Frazee’s exhibit includes portraits of a group of heroes in a post-apocalyptic world; and Gann’s exhibit, “On the Verge,” features artwork of animals that live with the threat of extinction.
