Our mission is to promote awareness and appreciation of the arts within the community and for the educational enrichment of youth who might not otherwise be exposed to the arts. The Kansas City Chalk and Walk Festival provides year round arts education outreach programs, by celebrating with a free annual 2-day event showcasing the work of local artists in the form of outdoor chalk drawing. Our aim is to engage with all members of the community regardless of social or economic status using art as a means of inspiration, education, expression and common ground.
