Note: if you are not interested in competing in the Quick Paint Challenge, you are not required to send your information to Heidi Markle – please draw, sketch, paint and explore at your leisure.
UrbanSketchers (Competitor for the Quick Paint Challenge) – competitors will want to review this schedule and contact Heidi Markle to throw your name into the ring. Party on the Prairie Quick Paint Schedule from KC Parks & Rec website includes:
“8-9 a.m.: Artist Check-in (stamp your canvas, paper, etc.)
9-11 a.m.: Competition (find your spot among the prairie grounds and return by 11 a.m.)

11:30 a.m.: Purchase Award- $500″
Note: Register for the Quick Paint Challenge by emailing your name and contact information to heidi.markle@kcmo.org – there are no fees to enter. This is a good ice breaker for UrbanSketchers that are new to plein air or landscape sketching and maybe a word of warning… you may catch the plein air bug – enjoy!
