J.T. Daniels has designed many murals across the Kansas City area including on the KC streetcar, school buildings and a brisk lemon iced tea label. He has a unique style that is playful and colorful and includes both characters and words. No matter the medium, his work always has a spray-painted street art feel that brings you comfort. With a moto “wherever I see a blank wall…I see opportunity to communicate,” he uses his murals to support and uplift the community.
Harold Smith is a muralist, fine artist and writer. He has works displayed internationally and locally including paintings, mixed media, performances, collages, sound, videos and assembly. He likes to focus on how complex the masculinity of a Black man in America is. Most of his work highlights semi abstracted Black men with lots of texture throughout the piece. Some of his pieces also include collage like features that make you want to focus and look at every detail.
