Brush Creek Art Walk 2023 First Friday, April 5th

Brush Creek Art Walk celebrated its 12th Anniversary in 2023. BCAW2023 is a three-day (enplein air) annual outdoor painting event that takes place in mid-September (15th-17th, 2023). 47 registered artists, working in traditional mediums, painted along the 4-mile stretch of Brush Creek. Over those 3 days 3 Quick Paint Events were well attended by artists and public alike in each of our 3 ‘zones’. Artists were encouraged to submit 2 finalized/framed works for judging and awards that took place in October at the Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center (4750 Troost) and remained on display through November.

Since that time, the now 60+ remaining works continue to travel and remain eligible for sale (online via Buttonwood Art Space).  ArtsKC’s gallery is the host for our final display of these works before unsold works are returned to the artists when the show concludes at the end of May (2024).
