Katherine Bello is a contemporary abstract painter. Using playful mark-making and lush colour, she constructs her compositions through layers of thick paint and thin glazes. Through an intuitive process, she builds the paintings over time - creating form, texture, light and space on two dimensional surfaces. Her work is deliberately open-ended, leaving interpretation from the viewer through the lens of their own life experience.
