Free Glassblowing Demonstration - Artist, Hoseok Youn

Join us at the Belger Glass Annex (1219 E 19th St.) this First Friday, February 2 from 6-8pm for a free glassblowing demonstration featuring artist and Belger Arts Lead Glassblower, Hoseok Youn. The demonstration is open-house style and will spotlight Hoseok’s personal glassblowing techniques as he leads a team of glassblowers to create a piece of his artwork.

Hoseok Youn is the Lead Glassblower at the Belger Glass Annex, and his distinct artistic style combines superhero imagery, toys, and action figures with traditional Venetian glassware. His artwork has been exhibited and collected across the United States and internationally. Hoseok is also giving a free artist talk the evening of Thursday, February 1 at Belger Crane Yard Studios (2011 Tracy Ave.) starting at 6pm. Hoseok’s talk and slide presentation will focus on his personal artwork and career as an artist.
